_{THIS IS IT.

Seriously, my sketchbook is like my brain. I filled in the last few pages last night, and have been staring in awe at this shiny new empty book that will be its replacement. If nothing else, I know now that I have the drive to complete another one, even if it takes another eleven months to do so.

It's hard to see everything because it's so small, but that's kind of the point. I'm not trying to show off the exact contents, just the fact that I DID IT HECK YES. Because I am really proud of having it all filled in, when I've never ever kept track of a sketchbook of any kind before. Absolutely everything that I've wanted to visualize over the past year has been put in this book, which means not only drawings, but also calendars, notes, gas mileage, random math problems, memos, playing with crayons while in child development classes, etc.

And of course, this book has seen much abuse. There are at least three pages which were used to soothe some kids that I work with. As in, if it looks like an angry mass of colorful scribbles, it was either done by a three year old girl or a two year old boy, both of whom were having a really hard time and quickly became fascinated when allowed to color in my "picture book". (Which, yes, means that all scribbles and words are kid-friendly, because it has been reviewed a great number of times by grade schoolers.) None of the pages ever fell out, but the cover did start to tear itself apart around the beginning of the year, which is why it's strapped up with painter's tape. That was all I had on hand when I realized that the spine was hanging on for dear life.

Ultimately, I think this is one of the best things I've ever decided to do. It's given me a place to collect all my drawings, and I've gotten a lot more confident in my sketches. I mean to keep drawing and keep enjoying it, because it's not about perfection. It's about progress, and having fun while doing it.}

what did you use? from the pictures it kind ofblooks like coloured pen but i am not sure?
